Contract: Until End of Term (with potential for extension) We are seeking a dedicated and experienced High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive independent school in Maidstone, working across both primary and secondary age groups. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality classroom support across a range of subjects and age groups.Deliver targeted 1:1 support to a secondary-aged student with Down syndrome, promoting independence and engagement.Assist in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities tailored to individual needs.Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement EHCPs and personalised strategies.Support behaviour management and emotional wellbeing in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Requirements: HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly Down syndrome.Confidence working across both primary and secondary age ranges.Strong communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach.Available to start immediately and commit until at least the end of term.
