Autism Support Learning Assistant (FE College) – Always Recruiting Location: Various FE College SitesPay: £15.55–£20 per hourContract: Ongoing / FlexibleExperience Required: Must have FE experience We are always looking for experienced Autism Support Learning Assistants to join Further Education colleges across multiple sites. As part of our SEN support workforce, you will be working with learners with low to high autism support needs, helping them engage with learning, build confidence, and develop independence. Role Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and group support for autistic learners Assist with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation Follow structured routines, support plans, and personalised learning strategies Work collaboratively with lecturers, SEN teams, therapists, and support staff Encourage participation, confidence-building, and academic progress Promote independence in learning and daily college life Requirements MUST have experience within a Further Education (FE) environment Or working with young adults 16+ Strong understanding of autism and neurodiversity Ability to use calm, consistent, and supportive communication strategies A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach DBS on the Update Service or willingness to process through Reed ?
