SEN Academic Mentor November 2025 start, July 2026 finish £85 - £110 per day School located in Coleshill Support across a wide range of special educational needsWhat you’ll do:Provide steady, in-class and withdrawal support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech/language needs. You’ll break tasks into clear steps, use visual scaffolds and now/next routines, and coach regulation and social communication. Expect brief, targeted boosters in literacy and numeracy, precision teaching for key skills, and concise progress notes that feed directly into next steps with teachers and the SENCO.Who you are:A thoughtful graduate who communicates plainly, holds consistent boundaries, and earns trust without over-prompting. You notice what helps each learner, adapt quickly, and keep sessions purposeful without losing warmth.Requirements Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.Communication – Clear, confident written and verbal skills.Enhanced DBS – Held already or willingness to obtain.Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in SEN, behaviour and pupil wellbeing.Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (SEN support, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
