Academics are seeking committed SEMH support staff for temporary, flexible ongoing roles in SEN schools supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing (with long-term opportunities) Pay: £88.94 - £100 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees) Start Date: ASAP or from a start date that suits you About the Role As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work within specialist SEMH schools supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviours, attachment needs, trauma backgrounds, communication differences, and social/emotional regulation difficulties.You will collaborate with teachers, therapists and pastoral teams to help pupils engage in learning, regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies. These settings require patience, consistency and a relational approach to behaviour - making this role ideal for individuals with previous SEMH or SEN experience.
