Job Summary Responsible for ensuring the safety of patients, visitors, and staff by patrolling the premises, monitoring security systems, and responding to security incidents. Qualifications Conduct regular patrols of the healthcare facility, including interior and exterior areas, to detect and deter security breaches, vandalism, theft, or any suspicious activities. -Maintain a visible presence and provide a sense of security by being approachable and proactive in addressing security concerns. -Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems to identify potential security threats or breaches. -Report any security-related incidents, hazards, or policy violations promptly to appropriate personnel. -Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and ensuring that only authorized individuals enter designated areas. No Licenses and Credentials Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certified Healthcare Security Officer [CHSO] - International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety preferred Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor [CHSS] - International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety preferred Personal Drivers License (New Hampshire) - New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles preferred MGH Security RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal preferred Experience Experience in security operations, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting. 2-3 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong observation and situational awareness skills to identify potential security threats or hazards. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels, including patients, visitors, and staff. - Ability to remain calm and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations. - Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures and first aid techniques. - Familiarity with security systems, such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems. - Physical fitness and the ability to walk or stand for extended periods.
