- 📍 Location: Rochester, Kent - ME1 2XX
- 🕒 Hours: 36 hours per week / Shift Times - 7-7 (Days, Nights & Weekends)
- 💷 Pay: £13.65 per hour

- We are looking for a reliable and professional Security Officer to join our team in Rochester. This is a full-time role offering consistent hours in a secure and supportive working environment.
- What Does a Security Officer Do?
- Security Officers play a vital role in protecting people, property, and information. They act as a visual deterrent, prevent unauthorised access, monitor for suspicious activity, and respond to incidents and emergencies. This position helps ensure the safety and security of premises 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor premises to deter and detect security breaches
- Manage access control and verify ID for staff, visitors, and contractors
- Respond quickly to alarms and emergencies in a calm, effective manner
- Maintain detailed logs and incident reports
- Conduct regular internal and external security checks
- Operate CCTV and other monitoring equipment
- Enforce site-specific procedures and health & safety regulations
- Support protection of classified materials and sensitive infrastructure
- Liaise with emergency services and site management as needed
- Qualifications
Key Requirements
- Must be a British citizen by birth, or have held a British passport for at least 5 years
- Hold a valid SIA licence
- Must be able to obtain SC (Security Clearance)
- 5-year checkable work history is required
- Flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
- 3 years Security Experience
- This position is subject to enhanced background checks and government security vetting.
