Job Title: Security Gate EngineerLocation: Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & LondonSalary: Dependent on Experience (DOE)Job Type: Full-Time / PermanentAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Security Gate Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of automated security gates, access control systems, and related safety equipment across Herts, Beds, Bucks, and London.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair automated security gates, barriers, bollards, and associated control systems.Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime for clients.Conduct routine servicing, safety checks, and compliance inspections (including EN safety standards).Work on a variety of systems including swing gates, sliding gates, bi-folds, barriers, intercoms, access control, and safety devices.Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with clients on work progress.Complete job sheets, reports, and documentation accurately.Ensure all work meets health & safety and industry compliance requirements.Participate in on-call rota (if applicable).Skills & Experience RequiredProven experience as a Gate Engineer, Automation Engineer, or similar role.Strong knowledge of gate automation systems (e.g., Came, BFT, FAAC, NICE, Beninca, etc.).Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.Understanding of safety standards such as EN 12453 / EN 13241.Full UK driving licence.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
