  • As a Security Engineer, you will play a key role in protecting leading L1/L2 blockchains and DeFi protocols by designing, building, and testing robust security systems. This is a fully remote position within a highly collaborative environment composed of experienced open-source and Web3 professionals. You will conduct cutting-edge research, develop innovative security tooling, and help shape the security posture of decentralized technologies. This role offers exposure to advanced blockchain infrastructure, from smart contracts to validator implementations, while contributing directly to the evolution of secure decentralized ecosystems.

Accountabilities

  • Design and implement defense-in-depth security controls to prevent and mitigate vulnerabilities in decentralized systems.
  • Conduct advanced research on Ethereum, EVM, and other smart contract platforms to identify emerging threats.
  • Develop security tools, automated workflows, and testing frameworks to enhance early vulnerability detection.
  • Collaborate with protocol teams to perform internal audits and coordinate external reviews with leading security firms.
  • Manage and operate high-profile bug bounty programs on platforms such as Immunefi.
  • Communicate complex security issues clearly, providing actionable recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism within a global, decentralized team environment.
  • Strong curiosity and analytical mindset with the ability to rapidly learn new blockchain technologies.
  • Proven experience as a consultant, engineer, auditor, or bug bounty researcher in the Web3 or cybersecurity space.
  • Hands-on familiarity with at least one smart contract platform and understanding of EVM-based environments.
  • Experience with open-source development practices and collaborative tooling (e.g., Git, CI/CD).
  • Knowledge of blockchain infrastructure components, including validators, bridges, or oracles.
  • Background in reverse engineering, fuzzing, or code review for smart contracts or low-level systems.
  • Track record of achievement in bug bounty programs, code competitions, or CTF events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to security best practices.
