• As a Security Control Centre Operative at Securitas, you’ll do more than protect what’s important—you’ll empower people to thrive. Your presence will make others feel safe, welcome, and supported.
• Whether you’re monitoring live CCTV feeds, identifying suspicious activity, or coordinating responses to incidents, as a Security Control Centre Operative you’ll be at the heart of a proactive surveillance operation. Your attention to detail and ability to assess situations in real time will help ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets. • A key part of your role will be the active monitoring and management of advanced CCTV systems within the Security Control Centre (SCC). This is why a valid CCTV license is essential for this role. You’ll be responsible for overseeing live surveillance feeds, identifying and escalating incidents in real time, and ensuring that all footage is handled with the highest level of integrity. This includes securely storing images in line with legal and operational standards, maintaining chain-of-custody protocols, and ensuring that any footage required for investigative or legal purposes remains admissible in a Court of Law.

• Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes

• Maintain and update client security procedures; ensure team compliance.
• Coordinate specialised evacuation procedures (Fire, Bomb, Disaster Recovery).
• Liaise with Corporate Security Management, Corporate Services, and Business Units.
• Manage data input from client sites with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Ensure smooth and effective shift handovers.
• Escalate and monitor incidents per protocol until resolution.
• Communicate with external authorities (Police, Fire Brigade) when required.
• Report grievances and serious concerns to the Line Manager immediately.
• Record all events accurately in the Daily Occurrence Log.
• Manage CCTV and Access Control Systems, including database oversight.
• Monitor global alarms and CCTV feeds across European sites.

• A valid SIA licence
• CCTV Licence
• Experience in a control room
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
