Key Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Science Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and practical science education:
- Practical Instruction: Plan and conduct safe, engaging, and memorable practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (General Science) for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
- Curriculum Mastery: Deliver effective, differentiated lessons to ensure all students, regardless of ability, achieve strong outcomes, especially in GCSE Science (Combined and Triple).
- Assessment & Reporting: Accurately assess student progress, mark work, and provide diagnostic feedback to drive improvement.
- Lab Management: Ensure a safe working environment in the labs, working closely with technicians to manage resources and equipment.
- Pastoral & Professional: Uphold school policies on behaviour and safeguarding. Participate in department meetings and extracurricular science clubs/activities.

Skills Needed:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for permanent and long-term roles in maintained schools.
