My client is currently recruiting for a temporary School Site Assistant to join their friendly team They are looking for someone to support the safe, secure, and effective operation of the primary school site, ensuring a clean, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for pupils aged 3–11, staff, parents, and visitors. The Site Assistant will play a key role in maintaining a safe learning and play environment and supporting the day-to-day running of the school premises. Key Responsibilities Site Maintenance & Premises Assist with the general maintenance and upkeep of school buildings, classrooms, playgrounds, and outdoor areasCarry out minor repairs, basic DIY, painting, and maintenance tasksSupport the setup and clearing of halls and classrooms for assemblies, lunch service, clubs, and school eventsAssist with deliveries and movement of equipment and furnitureRegularly check the condition of the site and report defects or hazards promptly Health, Safety & Security Support the implementation of health and safety procedures across the schoolCarry out routine site checks, including fire exits, alarms, lighting, and fencingAssist with playground safety checks and ensure outdoor equipment is safe for useSupport opening and locking of the school site, including before and after school where requiredMonitor visitors and support site security during the school day Cleaning & Grounds Support Assist cleaning staff with ad-hoc cleaning tasks as requiredHelp maintain playgrounds and outdoor learning areas, including litter pickingSupport seasonal tasks such as gritting paths, leaf clearing, and basic grounds maintenance Working in a Primary School Environment Be aware of the needs of young children and c
