School Counsellor - Role Overview As a School Counsellor, you will play a vital role in promoting student wellbeing and supporting positive mental health across KS3 and KS4. Your responsibilities will include: Providing one-to-one counselling sessions to students experiencing emotional, social, or behavioural difficulties Supporting students with issues such as anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, friendship difficulties, and family challenges Maintaining accurate and confidential records in line with safeguarding and data protection guidelines Working closely with pastoral staff, SENCOs, safeguarding leads, and external agencies Supporting early intervention and preventative mental health strategies Contributing to a whole-school approach to wellbeing and emotional resilience Attending relevant meetings, reviews, and supervision sessions Upholding safeguarding responsibilities and following school policies at all times Requirements A recognised qualification in Counselling, Psycho
