We are looking for a permanent School Cook to join our caring and supportive team. In this role, you’ll play an important part in providing our pupils with tasty, nutritious meals that set them up for learning and play each day.
If you’d like a role where you can use your skills to support children’s wellbeing, while being part of a welcoming school community, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has experience in a primary school or commercial kitchen.
• Is passionate about creating high-quality meals using fresh, local ingredients.
• Brings a friendly, professional approach and always puts children’s needs and safety first.
• Holds a minimum of Food Hygiene Level 3 certification.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Ordering stock from trusted suppliers.
• Preparing delicious meals to our high standards.
• Working with our catering consultant to plan menus that are healthy and balanced.
• Managing and maintaining health & safety systems.
• Keeping to purchasing budgets.
• Ensuring excellent kitchen hygiene.
• Adding variety with fun menu theme days.
