As a Caretaker, you will be essential to the smooth operation of our sites. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the premises, ensuring a safe and well-kept environment for everyone. Pay Rate: £14.00 to £16.00 per hour, based on your experience.

Location: We are recruiting for Caretaker positions across Sefton, including major towns and areas like Southport (PR8, PR9), Bootle (L20, L30), Crosby (L23), Formby (L37), and Maghull (L31). Our vacancies cover the full range of Sefton postcodes: L20, L21, L22, L23, L29, L30, L31, L37, L38, PR8, and PR9.

Core Duties:

• Repairs & Maintenance: Performing a variety of minor repairs, including basic plumbing, joinery, and painting.
• Health & Safety: Conducting regular checks to identify and report any potential hazards.
• Security: Acting as a key holder, responsible for locking and unlocking the building and responding to security issues.
• Grounds Maintenance: Keeping outdoor areas clean and tidy, including litter control and basic grounds work.
• General Upkeep: Taking care of day-to-day maintenance tasks and liaising with external contractors when needed.

Skills and Qualifications Needed:

• Experience: Proven experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or similar hands-on role.
• Technical Skills: A strong understanding of basic repairs and maintenance, including proficiency with hand tools.
• Problem-Solving: The ability to troubleshoot issues and find practical solutions quickly and efficiently.
• Health and Safety Knowledge: A solid understanding of health and safety protocols and procedures is essential.
• Reliability: You must be dependable, trustworthy, and able to work with minimal supervision.
