School Caretaker- Liverpool

We're on the lookout for dedicated individuals to fill Caretaker roles across our schools in Liverpool. If you have experience with repairs and maintenance, we want you!

As a Caretaker, you will be the cornerstone of a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment. Your expertise in repairs and maintenance will be crucial to the smooth running of the premises. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, ensuring the safety and functionality of the property.

Pay Rate: £14.00 to £16.00 per hour, based on your experience and skills.

Location: We are looking for candidates across all of Liverpool's postcodes, including: L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6, L7, L8….L20, L21, L22, L23, L25….L35, L36. L37, L38, L39, L40 (L1 to L40). All areas in Liverpool!

Core Duties:

• Repairs and Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs, such as fixing fixtures, fittings, and basic plumbing or electrical issues.
• Security: Acting as a key holder, responsible for opening and securing the premises.
• Health and Safety: Conducting regular checks to identify and report any potential hazards.
• Grounds Maintenance: Ensuring external areas are well-maintained, including litter removal and clearing paths.
• Supervision: Overseeing external contractors working on the site.

Skills and Qualifications Needed:

• Experience: Proven experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or similar role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic repairs, including painting, decorating, plumbing, and general handy person tasks.
• Problem-Solving: The ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
• Health and Safety Knowledge: A solid understanding of health and safety protocols and procedures is a must.
• Reliability: You'll be a key part of the team, so reliability and a strong work ethic are non-negotiable.
