Renowned for working with vulnerable children with a wide range of complex needs from 7 to 16 years old. We are looking to recruit a School Caretaker. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the maintenance, security and cleanliness of the school premises and site. Represent the school in dealing with contractors and suppliers involved in the repair and upkeep of the building and site. Role Responsibilities Maintaining clean, safe and secure school premises, which includes buildings and groundsCarrying out cleaning, handyperson activities, routine maintenance and refurbishment, porterage and minor repairsSome supervision of school cleaning staffPromoting health and safety around the schoolCarrying out porterage duties, such as moving furniture and equipment around the schoolMaintaining the general school premises, furniture and fittings, and reporting any issues to the Head TeacherCarrying out small repairs and DIY projectsArranging larger repairs and obtaining quotes from contractorsCarrying out daily cleaning and ad-hoc
