Our client is looking for a highly organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic Business Manager to join their team in a lively, exciting and friendly village school.
30 hours per week term time + 2 weeks per year, Mon - Fri 8.30am - 3.00pm and this is a Temporary to Permanent role.

What the School Offers

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Strategic Leadership: You will be a professional who can contribute to the strategic development of the school, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Operational Management: You will lead and manage various school functions, including finance, administration, personnel, and compliance. This includes working with financial programs, managing strategic financial plans, and overseeing budgets and procurement in direct partnership with the Headteacher.
- Essential Skills: The ideal candidate is efficient, highly motivated, and able to work on their own initiative. You must have excellent interpersonal skills to maintain supportive relationships with staff, parents, pupils, and stakeholders.
- Experience & Knowledge: You should have at least two years of experience in an administrative or secretarial role, with a focus on finance. Experience with school systems is a plus, but training will be provided. You must also be knowledgeable about relevant legislation, including HR, Finance, GDPR, and Health and Safety.
- ICT Proficiency: Strong ICT skills are essential, particularly with Microsoft Office packages.
- Personal Attributes: The school is looking for a warm-natured, conscientious, and caring individual who can communicate effectively and sensitively. You must be able to maintain high standards and respect confidentiality.
The ideal candidate will have the following requirements:
- Eligibility to work in the UK is ESSENTIAL (sponsorship is not available with this role)
- DBS on an update service is a must
- 2 recent relevant references
- Able to deliver services and systems applicable for effective school management
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including influencing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work flexibly
- Recognised management/business degree or equivalent related professional qualification
- Good communication and literacy skills
