We are currently seeking a dedicated and organised Attendance Officer school's in March (Cambridgeshire). This vital role will involve monitoring and recording student attendance, liaising with parents and carers and working closely with staff to ensure high attendance rates.
This is a full time role and you will be expected to work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Your role will include:
- Monitoring and recording daily attendance and punctuality of students
- Following up on absences and lateness with parents/carers and ensuring all reasons for absences are documented
- Working closely with the senior leadership team to address attendance issues and develop strategies to improve attendance rates
- Producing regular attendance reports for staff, governors and the local authority
- Liaising with external agencies, such as education welfare officers, to support students with persistent attendance issues
- Maintaining accurate attendance records in accordance with school policies and legal requirements
