We’re looking for a Sales Development Manager to join our team in Sunderland. In this role, you’ll be a key part of our branch’s success—building strong relationships with customers and suppliers, supporting your teammates, and helping to grow sales and profitability.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the things you can expect in your role as Sales Development Manager:


To work closely with our customers, key stakeholders & suppliers on a day-to-day basis to maximise customer opportunities, grow and maintain relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
To be responsible for all customer activity within a defined area, whilst managing a portfolio of accounts across an agreed area.
To be tasked with finding and developing new profitable business into the branch network and the wider business.
To gain an understanding of everything that is happening within the area, both in terms of large-scale construction projects and local market conditions.
To add value to our customers businesses through activities such as project plans, supplier contacts and offering advice through your industry specific knowledge.


As a Sales Development Manager, we’re looking for the following attributes:


We are looking for people with a positive and confident attitude along with the work ethic to be an integral part of a winning team.
You will need to be a good communicator and be great at building key relationships.
Previous sales experience is essential, along with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
You will be resilient and able to manage your own activities effectively.
Product knowledge isn’t essential, but an understanding of the customer base and industry is preferable.
