Purpose of the Role To ensure the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults at risk by providing case management, professional safeguarding advice, and working in line with national safeguarding policy and guidance. Key Responsibilities Provide safeguarding advice and guidance to local teams and volunteers.Manage and investigate safeguarding cases, maintaining accurate and confidential records.Complete risk assessments for individuals with disclosures or those who may pose a safeguarding risk.Create and monitor Safeguarding Agreements.Ensure appropriate pastoral support for those affected by safeguarding concerns.Participate in the duty rota for urgent safeguarding advice.Liaise with external authorities (e.g., police, social care) where required.Keep up to date with safeguarding legislation and undertake relevant training.Uphold GDPR and confidentiality standards.Support wider safeguarding team operations and provide cover for colleagues. Key Contacts Internal safeguarding colleagues, HR, senior leaders.External partners including clergy/volunteers, national safeguarding bodies, local authority teams, and statutory services. Person Specification Overview Experience Minimum 2 years’ safeguarding experience involving children and/or adults at risk.Experience in risk assessments and managing safeguarding caseloads.Knowledge of local authority safeguarding processes (desirable).Understanding of trauma-informed practice. Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organisation, time-management, and record-keeping.Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office.Ability to work under pres
