• Role
• At 92 Degrees, we believe Damn Fine Coffee starts long before it reaches the cup. Our Roastery General Manager will be responsible for running the 92 Degrees Roastery based in Liverpool as a business within a business, with accountability for its P&L, team, and growth.
• This role isn’t just about operational excellence, it’s about taking ownership. From warehouse and production to fulfilment and logistics, the Roastery GM ensures smooth day to day operations while also spotting opportunities to grow efficiency, revenue, and margin.
• As we continue to scale, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we roast, package, and distribute coffee at volume, while leading a high-performing team that embodies the values of 92 Degrees.
• What we are looking for
• Operational & Commercial Leadership
• Full responsibility for the Roastery’s P&L delivering against financial, efficiency, and quality targets.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve margin, streamline operations, and drive commercial growth.
• Develop business cases for investment in equipment, people, or processes to support scalability.
• Roasting & Coffee Quality
• Oversee daily roasting, packaging, and quality control to 92 Degrees’ standards.
• Work to develop Coffee and Product teams to ensure consistency, traceability, and innovation.
• Fulfilment & Supply Chain
• Ensure timely fulfilment of all wholesale, retail, and online orders.
• Oversee warehouse management, inventory, and supplier relationships.
• Build efficient systems for stock rotation, delivery, and logistics.
• Team Leadership
• Recruit, develop, and manage a skilled Roastery team, creating a culture of accountability and pride.
• Set clear goals, track performance, and ensure strong communication across the team.
• Lead by example, fostering collaboration and a solutions first approach.
• Health, Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, H&S, and audit requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient Roastery environment.
• Key Success Measures
• P&L performance: delivering on agreed financial targets.
• Operational efficiency: smooth running of roasting, fulfilment, and warehouse.
• Growth contribution: new commercial opportunities identified and delivered.
• Quality: consistency of roasting and fulfilment accuracy.
• Team: engagement, retention, and performance of Roastery staff.
• What you will bring to the role

Essential

• Proven experience running operations at manager level or above (production, warehouse, FMCG, food/drink).
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and P&L responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to drive efficiency, margin, and growth within an operational function.
• Experienced leader who can build, motivate, and retain teams.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work flexibly in a hands on environment.

Desirable

• Coffee roasting or food manufacturing background.
• Experience working with HACCP, food safety, or audit frameworks.
• Experience scaling processes in a growth business.
