Location: Diriebught Roads Depot, Inverness
Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £40,021 - £43,388 p.a.

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose:

• Co-ordinate the effective day to day delivery of Roads and Winter Maintenance activities within available resources.

• Manage operatives and resources in the delivery of frontline Roads and Winter Maintenance activities.

• Act as the primary local point of contact for Members and communities within a defined geographical area.

• Participate in all aspects of Roads and Winter Maintenance.

Requirements

• Possession of Driving Licence for LGV, Category C and C+E
• Knowledge/Experience of Roads and Winter Maintenance operations and works.
• Proven leadership experience
• Experience of operating construction related plant or other construction related skill.
• Practical or Technical Knowledge, normally acquired through a professional qualification, for example ONC/HNC/HND or through relevant working experience in a Roads/Construction activity.
• Ability to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
