Post Title: Roads Officer
Location: Diriebught Roads Depot, Inverness
Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £40,021 - £43,388 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose:
- Co-ordinate the effective day to day delivery of Roads and Winter Maintenance activities within available resources.
- Manage operatives and resources in the delivery of frontline Roads and Winter Maintenance activities.
- Act as the primary local point of contact for Members and communities within a defined geographical area.
- Participate in all aspects of Roads and Winter Maintenance.

Requirements
- Possession of Driving Licence for LGV, Category C and C+E
- Knowledge/Experience of Roads and Winter Maintenance operations and works.
- Proven leadership experience
- Experience of operating construction related plant or other construction related skill.
- Practical or Technical Knowledge, normally acquired through a professional qualification, for example ONC/HNC/HND or through relevant working experience in a Roads/Construction activity.
- Ability to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
