We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated auditing professional to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of Risk Adjustment coding and/or auditing experience for physician practices. The position requires one to be resourceful, organized, and extremely driven. Position will be remote.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist manager in monitoring project to ensure timely delivery of work.
- Review auditor and coder’s work for accuracy of ICD-10-CM codes for Risk Adjustment
- Train new staff and contractors on client specific Risk Adjustment guidelines, process and expectations
- Research regulatory guidelines for supporting documentation
- Prepare coding reports using excel
- Meet department production and quality standards
- Prepare oral and/or written reports of work activity to Supervisor
- Be responsible and accountable for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information. Follow HIPAA security policies and procedures affecting your job, and report any suspected or actual violation or breach
- Attend weekly team meetings
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum 5 years of coding and/or auditing experience
- Extensive ICD-10-CM coding and auditing experience, particularly with Risk Adjustment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to “own” an entire project
- Detail oriented and deadline driven attitude
- Ability to think critically and determine the best method for completing tasks
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, EMR systems, and internet)
- Ability to multitask and keep a sense of urgency
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong time management, organization skills, and work ethic
- CRC, CPC and CPMA
