  • Be part of the team that delivers safe, unforgettable thrills at Thorpe Park!As a Rides & Attractions Host, you’ll welcome guests, check restraints, manage queues, carry out height checks, and keep attractions spotless—all while delivering fantastic customer service. This is a fast-paced, active role, mostly outdoors, where teamwork and energy make every day exciting. Job Purpose • Work out on the front line in our rides team across attractions within your zone, carrying out safety checks and world class customer service as per given training. • Provide high level of customer service to our guests, in line with company values ensuring targets are met. • On the front line of attractions ensuring all guests are having the best possible day to achieve K.P.I targets. • Have good knowledge of the park in order to deliver the best possible information to our guests. • Follow CoSWP (Code of Safe Working Practices) on given attractions ensuring H&S criteria is met at all times • Following all company policies, including health and safety. • Ensuring efficiency targets are met to reduce queue times on given attraction(s) • Clear communication with Zonal Managers and Leads at all times. • Completing daily ride documentation in line with company policies. • Ensuring cleanliness targets are met by carrying out set cleaning rotas and undertaking ad-hoc cleaning when required. Key Accountabilities • Capable and able to understand theory-based learning and be trained/assessed on number of attractions in the park. • Ability to correctly height check guests to ensure they meet restrictions • Deal with many guests on a daily basis, checking restraints, storing bags before they board rides, enforcing specific ride restrictions and managing queue lines including fastrack and accessibility queues. • Take part in cleaning duties as described by the Zonal Managers and Operators to ensure presentation is kept to required standard. • Interact with guests ensuring any issues are resolved they may always have and delivering positive interactions. • Operate and host rides safely through given training and ensuring they open on time where possible. • Operate and host rides efficiently to achieve target throughputs
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • • High level of motivation both self and in a team
  • • Proficient in English language
  • • Team Player
  • • Lead and uphold required standards in moments of pressure and deliver good results
  • • Interpersonal and relationship building skills within team and networking with other employees at the resort
  • • Problem solving and decision-making techniques.
  • • High level of personal presentation and standards
  • Additional Considerations
  • All Merlin employees are expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in online onboarding and training curriculums. Employees are responsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues and guests (where appropriate), in line with the Group Policy (HS001) and the law. In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate
