You’ll support them both within the home and, where appropriate, within the educational setting.Key responsibilities include:Providing high-quality care that meets each young person’s physical, emotional, social and cultural needsBuilding safe, positive and nurturing relationshipsSupporting young people with communication, daily routines and personal developmentActing as a key worker or co-worker, ensuring care plans are followed and updatedAssisting with practical daily tasks (e.g., cooking, cleaning, maintaining a homely environment)Supporting young people with education, extracurricular activities and community engagementEnsuring safeguarding, risk assessment and professional standards are upheldKeeping accurate records and contributing to planning meetings and reviewsWorking collaboratively with families, social workers, teachers and external professionals
