  • Key Responsibilities in Residential Conveyancing
  • Independently manage a caseload of residential conveyancing files, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity, encompassing both freehold and leasehold properties.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and risk assessment on property titles, searches, and all related legal documentation in line with current regulations.
  • Liaise sensitively and professionally with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors, and third parties; providing clear, regular updates throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Draft, review, and finalise contracts, transfer deeds, completion statements, and additional relevant documentation, ensuring all compliance and regulatory standards are met.
  • Oversee exchange and completion, address queries and requisitions, and manage all post-completion formalities including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with clients, delivering exceptional client care and ensuring a positive property transaction experience.
  • Essential Skills, Experience, and Knowledge for the Residential Conveyancer Role
  • Proven track record of managing a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to post-completion with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of residential conveyancing law, SRA and AML compliance processes, and CQS requirements.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively and manage multiple deadlines across a busy conveyancing portfolio.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to advise clients and collaborate with external professionals at all levels.
  • Competence using conveyancing case management software and standard office IT applications.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach with a commitment to resolving client queries efficiently and professionally.
