About the Role
As a Residential Care Officer Level 3, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children and young people who have experienced trauma and adversity. All our children have complex needs, disabilities and difficulties. Our home is built on a foundation of trauma-informed practice, social pedagogy, attachment theory, and therapeutic care models - all designed to support healing and growth.
You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Complex Needs Mental Health Link Workers, to develop and implement personalised therapeutic care plans that make a real difference.
As a Senior Carer at The Beacon you will be leading a team of 50+ Carers as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Creative, compassionate, and resilient
Experienced in residential care, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches
A natural leader who can inspire and supervise a team of care professionals
Confident in making informed decisions and allocating resources effectively
Committed to continuous professional development
Essential Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
Good IT literacy and communication skills
