Job Title Economist Analyst/Associate

Corporate Title Analyst/ Associate
Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic and financial analysis within Deutsche Bank Group and covers asset allocation and all major industry sectors.
You will sit within the European Economics Research team. You will be providing insights to asset managers and corporates on thematic trends that affect the business world as well as supporting research on forecasting and nowcasting of key economic variables, including contributing to models and written reports.

Your key responsibilities
- Support with qualitative and quantitative analysis on economies, with a focus on the United Kingdom (UK) and some European countries
- Contribute to written publications and presentations on the UK/European outlook
- Perform econometric/machine learning modelling and statistical analysis, applying sound economic judgment
- Maintain and enhance country/regional databases with rigorous attention to detail
- Monitor data releases and market-relevant developments
- Provide support for internal and external client requests
Your skills and experience
- Ideally some exposure to financial markets; experience in reviewing inflation, labour markets and central bank policy would be valuable
- Educated to Masters degree level in economics (or a related field) or equivalent qualification and/or work experience (Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) advantageous)
- Ability to synthesise complex information and present ideas effectively
- Experience in Data analysis, Excel modelling, and proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Eviews, R, Python, Bloomberg)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to proactively explore new topics and research ideas
