Role Description

Research Assistant Opportunity – 2SLGBTQI+ Entrepreneurship Study

• Seeking a motivated and diligent graduate student (Master’s or PhD) or recent graduate with interest and/or experience in 2SLGBTQI+ entrepreneurship.
• This paid, remote position will begin on October 1, 2025, with an initial 3-month contract (extendable to 9 months).
• The expected workload is 5–10 hours per week (negotiable).
• The project explores the experiences of 2SLGBTQI+ entrepreneurs and the organizations that support them.

Qualifications

• Strong research skills, including experience with qualitative methods (interviews, focus groups, transcription).
• Familiarity with 2SLGBTQI+ issues and communities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

• All University of Ottawa employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
