Repairs Service Manager Location: ManchesterJob Type: Full-timeLength of role: Initial 6 months We are seeking a Repairs and Maintenance Manager to support our current postholder due to increased workload and the upcoming implementation of Awaabs law. This role is crucial for managing and organising the frontline delivery of work activities and leading strategic marketing and development of venues and localities. Day-to-day of the role: Manage and organise the frontline delivery of work activities within the housing services sector.Engage with residents and local communities to develop and deliver appropriate programmes and activities.Develop effective partnerships and coordinated working with partners to achieve service objectives and ensure efficient delivery.Motivate and develop team members through effective performance management, including training and development to maintain continuous improvement.Supervise and manage all activities on site, including work undertaken by contractors, to meet service standards and legislative requirements.Develop strategies relating to service improvement and the delivery of high-quality work activities.Oversee the production of management information, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Required Skills & Qualifications: Construction-related qualification or equivalent demonstrable work experience.Significant experience in a management role within housing.Extensive knowledge of managing resident-focused repairs and maintenance services, including contract administration and regulatory compliance.Strong understanding of public services delivered at a place level and the structural, legislative, and policy context within which these services operate.Excellent partnership and collaborativ
