Our client is a dedicated, trauma-informed organisation in Kidderminster/Worcestershire, focused on helping young people heal and thrive. They believe in the power of connection, empathy, and respect, building their therapeutic approach around PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) and Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP). What you'll be doing:
You'll be the heart of a children's home, responsible for its full operation and regulatory compliance. This means:
- Leading your team with a therapeutic, PACE and DDP-informed mindset.
- Cultivating a safe, emotionally connected culture for both staff and children.
- Ensuring every child's emotional and developmental needs are met through trauma-informed care.
- Tailoring individual care plans to champion positive outcomes for each young person.
- Providing reflective supervision and empathetic, intelligent leadership.
- Maintaining Ofsted compliance and driving continuous service improvement.
- Collaborating with families and external partners for holistic care.
What we're looking for:
A compassionate and experienced Registered Manager who:
- Has at least 4 years of residential childcare experience, including 2+ years in a management role with a proven track record of Ofsted "Good" or higher.
- Holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Possesses a deep understanding of trauma, attachment, and child development.
- Is committed to DDP-informed care and the principles of the PACE model.
- Leads with compassion, accountability, and a strong grasp of relational care.
- Is comfortable working closely with regulators and passionate about achieving Outstanding outcomes.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- (Bonus: Open to dual registration across two 2-bed homes in the future).
