About HV Care Ltd
HV Care Ltd is a newly established provider of high-quality residential care for children aged 8–18 with emotional, behavioural, and psychological needs. Our aim is to deliver trauma-informed, nurturing support that complies with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and SC1 requirements.
We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead the service through the Ofsted registration process (SC1) and to transition into full-time management once the home becomes operational.

The Role
Pre-Registration Responsibilities (Immediate Start):
You will support the setup and registration of the home, including:
• Leading the preparation and submission of the SC1 registration form to Ofsted
• Shaping key documentation, including the Statement of Purpose, safeguarding policies, and operational procedures
• Acting as the nominated Registered Manager for Ofsted purposes and attending the "fit person" interview
• Liaising with the Responsible Individual to ensure the home meets all regulatory and safety standards
Post-Registration Responsibilities (Full Operational Management):
Upon registration and commencement of placements, you will:
• Manage day-to-day operations of the home and lead the care team
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and maintain readiness for inspection
• Oversee safeguarding practices, risk assessments, and incident management
• Develop and supervise staff, manage rotas, and conduct performance reviews
• Build strong partnerships with local authorities, social workers, and education/healthcare professionals
• Maintain high standards of therapeutic and emotional support for children and young people

Person Specification
Essential:
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Deputy or senior role within a children’s home
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Sound knowledge of Ofsted inspection framework and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and trauma-informed practice
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Commitment to starting immediately in a pre-registration capacity and transitioning to full-time management
Desirable:
• Experience leading or supporting a successful Ofsted registration
• Full UK driving licence
