ABOUT THE ROLE:

This position is essential to our growing Care Complete program as we expand our nutrition support services for members on GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy. This role will be key in supporting our multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver on the "dietitian in the family" approach to engaging our members. We are looking for an experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to provide personalized nutrition counseling and support for members on GLP-1 medications for weight loss. You will engage with our members in a caring and empathetic manner through phone consultations, helping them achieve sustainable weight management and healthy lifestyle changes while navigating their GLP-1 therapy journey. The ideal candidate will deliver virtual, evidence-based nutrition care and lifestyle counseling from a telehealth contact center environment, with excellent communication skills when interacting with members via phone, chat, and Rightway's App.

 A willingness to go the extra mile to provide outstanding nutrition care is an essential requirement of this role.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Conduct initial and follow-up nutrition counseling sessions with members on GLP-1 medications, providing personalized nutrition plans and lifestyle recommendations.
  • Deliver all care through phone, chat, and/or video visits as part of Rightway’s Care Complete programs.
  • Track weight loss progress, assess nutritional needs and lifestyle behaviors, and set/monitor health and nutrition goals during initial and follow-up consults.
  • Develop strategies to help members manage GI side effects of GLP-1 medications and prevent malnutrition during appetite suppression
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, which includes pharmacists and nurses, to coordinate and optimize the care process for patients on GLP-1.
  • Document patient progress, nutritional assessments, and care plans.
  • Stay current with evidence-based research on GLP-1 medications, nutrition science, and weight management strategies.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Active credentialing as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and/or Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LD/N)
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (Master's preferred) 
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in dietetics, with demonstrated expertise in weight management
  • Experience with motivational interviewing and health behavior change techniques
  • Knowledge of GLP-1 medications and their impact on nutrition and weight management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, critical thinker, and empathetic
  • Ability to translate complex nutritional science into practical, actionable recommendations for patients through various mediums (phone, chat, email, etc).
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, virtual contact center with back-to-back scheduled and ad-hoc interactions with members. 
  • A private, interruption-free workspace where you can complete your job duties and consultations

 

SALARY: 

$38.00-$43.00/hr 

Offer amounts for both remote and in office roles are influenced by geographic location.
