The ideal candidate will bring both professional expertise and genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs, alongside strong leadership and organisational skills.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the setup and day-to-day running of the residential home, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices for children’s services.Create a warm, inclusive, and family-style atmosphere where children feel valued, supported, and understood.Develop and oversee personalised care plans tailored to each child’s needs, abilities, and aspirations, focusing on promoting independence, learning, and emotional well-being.Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team of carers and support staff.Foster a positive workplace culture based on respect, teamwork, and professional growth.Ensure staff receive high-quality supervision, training, and ongoing development opportunities.Oversee all medication processes, ensuring safe administration and adherence to clinical guidelines.Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure each child’s health needs are fully met.Build and maintain strong relationships with families, social workers, therapists, and external agencies to provide joined-up, holistic care for each child.Ensure all documentation, records, and reporting meet regulatory standards.Maintain a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice, and high-quality care delivery.Regularly assess and review each child’s progress and needs, adapting care plan
