Role: Residential Development Lawyer (Housebuilding & Strategic Land)Location: Leeds (hybrid/flexible)Salary: £75,000-£95,000 + bonusPQE: c. 3-10 years' post-qualificationContract: Permanent We're partnering with a leading UK law firm to appoint a Real Estate Lawyer into its Housebuilding & Strategic Land team. You'll join a high-growth national platform working with major housebuilders, regional developers, promoters, RPs/housing associations, landowners and local authorities on complex residential development mandates. The work you'll handleSite acquisitions & disposals (single assets and multi-site programmes)Conditional/unconditional contracts, options & overageStrategic land: promotion agreements, hybrid agreements, collaboration/consortium structuresAffordable housing (incl. golden brick, back-to-back disposals)Infrastructure & easements: s38/s104/s278, utilities, adoption and service media rightsSite assembly, estate set-up, service charge/management agreementsLiaison with Planning, Construction, Environment, Agriculture, Litigation & Tax specialists on joined-up delivery (VAT/SDLT awareness expected) What we're looking for3-10 PQE (Solicitor/Associate/Senior Associate) with strong residential development experienceTrack record acting for housebuilders, developers, promoters, landowners, RPs and/or local authoritiesConfident running matters with appropriate supervision; excellent drafting and negotiationCommercial, client-facing mindset with developing BD relationshipsComfortable in a collaborative, hybrid environment and keen to mentor juniors (as appropriate to level) Why this move?High-quality national housebuilder panel work with real variety and scaleGe
