Our client located in Rochford is looking for a Reach Truck Driver/Warehouse operative to join their team.Location: RochfordHours: 2 week alternating Rota - Week 1 Monday - Friday, Week 2 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day.Salary; £28,730-£30,000 per annumWe are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Warehouse Operative with Reach Truck experience to join a busy distribution centre in Rochford. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their schedule and is comfortable working both weekdays and weekends on a rotating basis.Due to the location, a valid UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.ResponsibilitiesOperate forklift equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouseManage inventory using warehouse management systems accuratelyAssist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and correct handling of goodsPerform basic equipment repairs and maintenance checks on forklifts and other machineryHandle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage in designated areasSupport in organising stock levels and maintaining a clean, safe workspaceCollaborate with team members to optimise warehouse workflow and safety protocolsConduct routine inspections of equipment to identify potential mechanical issues earlyExperienceProven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environmentKnowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control proceduresMechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipmentExperience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, and heavy lifting tasksFamiliarity with warehouse safety standards and proceduresBasic maths skills for counting
