Job Description What is the Opportunity? The Intermediary channel was established in 2012 and has expanded steadily since then. The channel now manages more than £18bn of assets, is the fastest growing area within Brewin and the most used Discretionary Manager in the UK financial services sector. We are now seeking a Business Manager on a 12-month fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. The role is based in London, and we are looking for the successful candidate to start in February 2026. The Business Manager will work closely with the Head of Planning & Execution in delivering key objectives and business initiatives for the Intermediaries channel. The Business Manager will work across functions and with specific Heads who manage the firm’s offices and other key individuals within Intermediaries Office, Governance, Change, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance and Marketing functions. You will be a motivated self-starter, that is confident in planning and contributing to key business initiatives from inception to completion, in a rapidly changing business environment. Teamwork is an important element, and the Business Manager will need to work at pace and be comfortable to ensure productivity is efficient and deadlines are achieved. RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements. What will you do? Support the Head of Planning & Execution, in coordinating and delivering strategic business projects and initiatives, providing constructive challenge and solutions. Lead and work to deliver on the current Remediation Project to strengthen our process and policy. Represent Intermediaries in Change working groups and business implementation readiness boards. Prepare papers for discussion on key topics for the ManCo and other senior management and governance committees. Manage any Intermediary Client Literature, including the review and updating of all Business owed documents, working with applicable internal teams to ensure timely submission to the Client Literature Forum. Work with ManCo members to complete and submit Risk Control Self-Assessment for the Channel. Prepare for meetings, working groups, production of meeting materials and other initiatives. Extract and monitor other key KRIs, Management Information and other data, as required. Coordinate and produce relevant communications for internal and external recipients. Support the Target Operating Model which involves regular engagement with other BD business partners / teams, such as HR, Change, Finance, Marketing, Business Management, Business Support, and Intermediaries Office – including Senior Management. Perform ad-hoc research and analysis as needed to support ongoing initiatives. What do you need to succeed? Must-have Experience in a similar role such as; business management, operations, project delivery or other related position, within the financial services industry. Experienced at managing business projects and initiatives in a structured manner. Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Meticulous attention to detail, taking pride in high quality output. Comfortable interacting with people at all levels of the organisation and challenging demands, if necessary Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and have the confidence to work with Senior Management and ManCo members. Flexibility to travel across RBCBD’s branch network, as needed. Able to focus on priorities and follow tasks through to completion What is in it for you?
