Role: Quantity Surveyor

Contract Length: 6 months

Location: hybrid 3 days per week on site in either Leeds, Manchester , Blackpool, London , Birmingham

Minimum Requirement: Candidates must have Commercial QS experience and be a qualified QS. To apply for this role you must have strong commercial experience within property, facilities management, or a similarly complex environment, along with proven knowledge of construction procurement and contracting strategies.

We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the delivery of the Critical Security Infrastructure Programme. Reporting to the Head of Technical Security Delivery, you’ll oversee the commercial and financial management of projects from start to finish. You’ll challenge budgets, procurement, and cost management to ensure value for money, while maintaining the quality and standards required. Working closely with our supplier network, you’ll drive cost assurance and efficiency across a portfolio of complex, high-profile projects.



Key Accountabilities

Lead independent cost reviews from project inception to final account.
Approve feasibility costs, balancing risks, benefits, and user impacts.
Provide robust budget challenge and cost assurance for major projects.
Develop and communicate project procurement policies and procedures.
Support supply chain teams in cost planning and collaborative delivery.



Essential Criteria

Strong commercial experience in property, facilities management, or similar within a large, complex organisation.
Track record of managing commercial aspects of multi-site projects from design to delivery.
In-depth knowledge of construction procurement and contracting strategies, with the ability to select and apply the right approach for each project.
