Quantity Surveyor Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Company CarLocation: North East England (Head Office & various site locations as required)Contract: Permanent, Full-Time An established contractor operating across the construction, civil engineering, and groundworks sectors is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of its contract works. This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial awareness who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Main Purpose of the Role To support the day-to-day running and commercial management of contract works, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Assist with contract claims and valuations Review contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance and mitigate risk Conduct contract measures and commercial forecasts Support tender preparation, including bills of quantities Track schedule amendments and update budget projections Procure and manage subcontractor services Check and authorise subcontractor invoices and valuations Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and project professionals Ensure all commercial documentation is accurate and up-to-date Take commercial responsibility for selected contracts, including agreeing final accounts Collaborate with the Contracts Management team on applications for payment Maintain regular meetings with the Commercial Manager to review contract positions
