Quantity Surveyor - Landmark City-Centre Projects

Location: Manchester

Salary: Up to £60,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance

A dynamic and growing regional main contractor is recruiting a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Manchester. This company has a strong reputation for delivering a diverse range of high-profile build and fit-out projects.

The Role:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the full range of quantity surveying duties on one or more projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.

• Cost control, valuations, and CVR reporting.

• Identifying, pricing, and agreeing on variations.

• Managing monthly applications for payment and cash flow.

• Negotiating and agreeing on final accounts.

About You:

We are looking for a commercially astute individual with a strong background in quantity surveying.

• You will ideally have experience working for a general contractor on build or fit-out projects.

• You must be a strong negotiator, an excellent communicator, and able to work effectively within a busy team.

• A degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) is preferred.

Opportunity for an Assistant QS:

This role also presents a significant "step-up" opportunity. Ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyors who are ready to take on more responsibility are strongly encouraged to apply. A background with a Tier 1 contractor would be highly advantageous for an Assistant-level applicant.
