Morson are working with BAE Systems who are looking for a Quality Engineer to join the team at the Glascoed site. Typical duties: Review Shop Floor records (e.g. ‘SMDCP’ documents), ‘First Off’ items for Quality Dept. approval, technical specifications, drawings, and endorse Certificates of Conformity as an approved signatory.Perform Internal Audits, support External Audits, and support the development of audit responses and robust corrective actions which prevent identified problems from ever happening again.Monitor and analyse reject, rework, and RFT data, and present information to managementMonitor and support non-conformance / quality issue management (‘CAR’, ‘Q1’, ‘Q2’, ‘Q3’, etc.)Drive and support targeted CI (Continuous Improvement) activities, focussing on(A) Reduced Rejects and Costs(B) Improved operational workflows, throughput, and efficiencyEnergise others to engage in improvement activities, and support others in identifying and implementing their own improvements.Support Process Readiness Review (PRR), performing Quality Dept. reviews of process readiness, and supporting the optimisation of the PRR process across the site.Work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve the QMS (Quality Management System)Continually improve your own understanding of lean manufacturing methods, and core tools (including but not limited to: VSM, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, Six Sigma, TOC, MS Excel, Minitab…) and also encourage and assist in continually improving the knowledge of others across Land UK.
