Church & Dwight UK Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a QC Shift Supervisor to join our Plant Quality Team, based at our plant in Folkestone, Kent. We are seeking a dedicated QC Shift Supervisor to lead our Laboratory Technicians in supporting our production operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to quality and safety, overseeing testing and compliance processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities include: Foster a strong safety culture within the laboratory and ensure adherence to plant safety policies and procedures. Conduct testing on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods for Cosmetics and Medical Devices. Drive quality culture initiatives, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements. Support training and development of laboratory staff. Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks as per company policy. Execute tasks independently as delegated by the QC Manager. Assist in validating and verifying new methods in the Quality Control Laboratory. Report and investigate Out of Specification results with the QC Manager. Uphold 5S standards and collaborate with the team for continuous improvement. Liaise with R&D/Tech services for new product testing and support existing product processes. Manage the retain sample program and perform stability testing annually. Support customer complaint investigations. Generate and report KPIs with the QC Manager. Oversee maintenance of calibration data and service contracts. Perform additional duties related to the scope of work as required. Education & Experience required: Extensive experience in Quality Control or a related regulated industry (e.g., FMCG, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals). Knowledge of GMP, ISO22716, and ISO 13485 standards. Experience in a team environment. Leadership experience is advantageous. Experience in delivering training to staff is desired. The ideal candidate for the QC Shift Supervisor position will possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to stringent timelines. They should demonstrate excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks. Additionally, strong planning, communication, and organizational skills are essential for effectively managing the laboratory team and maintaining the smooth operation of quality control processes. The role operates on a rotational basis of 4 days on, 4 days off, covering Monday through Sunday, with shifts from 6am to 6pm.
