We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Hourly Paid Lecturers (HPLs) to join our dynamic Public Services teaching team. If you have a passion for education and a background in public services—such as the armed forces, emergency services, or local government—this is a fantastic opportunity to share your experience and help shape future careers.

Curriculum Area: Public Services

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, flexible teaching in Public Services.
  • Engage students with real-world scenarios and practical learning.
  • Support learners through effective assessment and feedback.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and development.
  • Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge through CPD.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the student experience.

Essential Experience:
  • Strong subject knowledge in Public Services.
  • Relevant qualifications or professional experience in the sector.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Passion for teaching and student success.
  • Flexibility to work across sites and varied schedules.

Desirable Experience:
  • Teaching experience in further education or similar settings.
  • Practical experience in public service roles.
  • Experience working with diverse learner groups.
  • Ability to plan and deliver inclusive, engaging lessons.
