You’ll break tasks into clear, manageable steps, use visual supports and routines, and model regulation strategies. Expect 1:1 tuition, small-group work, quick progress notes, and tight feedback loops with class teachers and the SENCO.Who you are:A psychology (or related) graduate who communicates plainly, stays calm, and builds trust quickly. You follow support plans, keep boundaries consistent, and keep sessions brisk, purposeful, and child-centred.Requirements Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.Communication – Strong verbal and written communication.Enhanced DBS – Held already or willingness to obtain.Desire to work in education/with children – Clear interest in SEN, child development, and pupil wellbeing.Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (SEN support, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
