- Salary: Up to £55,000 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing
- Being a subject matter expert (SME) providing support to other PP&C Professionals by applying specialist toolset knowledge – Primavera P6, Cobra, Predict/ARM, MSPS, Open Plan, Oracle
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), WBS Dictionaries, approved cost and schedule Project Management Baselines (PMB) and impact analysis of changes and implementation
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of control account structures/plans and associated Responsibility Assignment Matrices (RAM)
- Undertaking detailed planning activities, including rolling wave planning and developing Control Account Plans (CAP), capturing actuals, status, Estimates to Complete (ETC), and undertaking detailed variance analysis in accordance with the business rhythm
- Supporting Estimate at Completions (EAC) activities and providing SME advice to Control Account Managers (CAMs) with regards to development and preparation of their inputs and consolidation of program-wide data
- Ensuring the correct utilisation of Earned Value Management standards, processes, and systems
- Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis forward looking insights
Your skills and experiences
- Essential
- Previous experience as a Project Controller / Project Scheduler (Planner) / Cost Schedule Analyst, Cost Engineer, Quantity Surveyor
- Strong understanding of Earned Value Management principles
- Experience in scheduling/planning and a relevant toolset
- Desirable
- Experience in the use of Primavera P6 (preferred) or OpenPlan/Microsoft Project
- Experience in the use of COBRA

The team
- We currently have multiple opportunities for Project Planning and Controls (PP&C) Professionals across our portfolio of Maritime Delivery programmes. These opportunities are across various skillset levels and are location flexible across Portsmouth/Frimley/Bristol/Weymouth/Dorchester.
- Within these roles, PP&C Professionals are responsible for utilising the Company's Project Controls Systems (EVM) and Tools to inform Project Management on project schedule, cost performance and risk status. You will be required to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships ensuring that you become a key, trusted member of your assigned Project Team.
