Project Manager – Manufacturing & Operations
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives focused on driving operational excellence, facility consolidation, and product optimization within our manufacturing footprint. Based in Wolverhampton, you'll be responsible for managing projects from concept through to completion, ensuring strict alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.
This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, working closely with the Director of Manufacturing and the Senior Leadership Team.

- Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
You will autonomously lead complex strategic projects, managing resources, stakeholders, and risks across the region.
- Strategic Planning & Business Case Development:
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and present business cases for manufacturing capital investments, optimization, and/or facility consolidation projects.
- Apply a structured planning approach to autonomously lead initiatives, establishing project timelines, ownership, and measures of success.
- Project Execution & Management:
- Manage the design, construction, and commissioning of upgrades to manufacturing facilities.
- Oversee the dilapidations of exited facilities as part of consolidation strategies.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute production transfers and improve supply chain efficiency across the region.
- Coordinate multiple medium to high-complexity projects simultaneously.
- Stakeholder Management & Risk Mitigation:
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks and roadblocks proactively, ensuring clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to scope, plan, and deliver projects to agreed timescales and budgets.
- Reporting & Improvement:
- Provide regular, concise updates and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, adjusting strategy as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis and innovative problem-solving.
What You Will Already Have
- Experience: 5+ years of project management experience specifically within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
- Leadership & Influence: A proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Financial Acumen: Strong commercial and budgetary management skills.
- Mindset: A strategic thinker with proven, hands-on execution capability.
- Communication: Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Complexity: The ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly, with experience working within a matrixed organization being beneficial.
