Reporting directly to the corporate Project Controls Manager the Project Controls Engineer is responsible for coordinating and applying best practice Cost Management within the Development and Pre FID project phases across the Squadron Energy portfolio. This role will engage and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders in supporting the development of project controls procedures, methodologies and tools to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role will also support in tender evaluations, contribute to cost and schedule risk analysis, capital estimate preparation, establishment of benchmark rates and general cost support for key investment decisions. This role is a FIFO 2/1 working on site on UWF project. Key Responsibilities: Manage project cost, change management tools, systems, and reports. Develop and maintain project controls procedures, methodologies, and tools. Conduct end-of-month project controls reviews and reporting. Provide management and guidance to project schedulers. Produce monthly progress reporting for management reflecting contractors progress against schedule for the period undertake regular baseline reviews, forecasts and risk analysis to ensure accurate reporting to management on project status Liaise with financial team for project updates. Analyse and report on project cost positions. Identify and monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Manage payment approval and budget transfer processes. Provide guidance and training on cost and change management tools. Skills and Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in project controls on large infrastructure projects. Experience with cost management functions and integrated project controls systems. Proficiency in SAP S4HANA, Ecosys, and Power BI (desired). Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Ability to perform complex data analytics and use Microsoft 365 suite. Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
