Progression Coach – Supporting Young People Across County DurhamContract: 3 months initially (possibility of extension)Hours: 37 hours per weekLocation: County Durham (travel required across the area)Do you have a passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential?We’re looking for a motivated and empathetic Progression Coach to join our Education and Skills team, working with young people aged 16–24 who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) — helping them explore their options and move forward into education, training, or work.?? What you’ll do Manage a caseload of young people aged 16–24 who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET.Provide one-to-one and group support to raise aspirations, build confidence, and remove barriers to progression.Work collaboratively with schools, colleges, training providers, employers, and local agencies.Deliver practical advice and guidance — including employability skills, applications, and interview preparation.Maintain accurate records of progress and outcomes. &#55356;? About you You’ll be someone who is approachable, organised, and passionate about helping young people succeed. You will have: A Level 2 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance, Youth Work, or a related subject.Experience working with vulnerable or NEET young people.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to travel throughout County Durham to meet young people and attend meetings. A Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance and experience of partnership working with education or employment providers would be an advantage.?? <str
