A subsidiary of Thomas Armstrong (Holdings) Limited is seeking a PRODUCTION OPERATIVE to join our dynamic team, at our Concrete Block Plant in Cross Green, Leeds. Thomas Armstrong (Concrete Blocks) Ltd are one of the biggest private block suppliers in the industry. The company has grown and developed to become one of the leading suppliers’ of concrete blocks, aggregates and cement to the building, ready mixed concrete, and construction industries.

Today, the company continues to supply a wide range of concrete blocks from various block plants throughout the North of England. Our diverse and wide product range of readily available blocks, cement, sands, gravels available for supply to merchants and direct to clients and customers throughout the Northwest, and Northeast of England. We can achieve this due to the key advantage of our privately own large fleet of 70 modern heavy goods vehicles each able to carry up to 30 tonnes.

About the Role:

We require enthusiastic applicants who enjoy working in a manufacturing environment and working as part of a team who are reliable, committed, and hardworking.

Work includes operating in a busy production facility to ensure the timely and efficient manufacture of product.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the leading UK concrete block specialist, working in the manufacturing of specialist concrete block products.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 2 shift rotation –

WEEK 1- 05:00 to 15:00,

WEEK 2 – 14:45 to 23:45 (Saturday working as required)

Holiday entitlement: 21 days + statutory bank holidays (3 days to be kept for Christmas closedown)

Salary: £13.50 per hour, plus £1.50 shift allowance

About the candidate.

The ideal candidate will preferably have a manufacturing and production background and used to working in a team environment.

We are looking for:

- A highly safety conscious and motivated individaul with drive and enthusiasm to work as part of a team.

- Excellent communication and team working skills.

- Good organisational skills.

- Ability to work to deadlines.

- Previous experience within a similar industry – preferred. However, full training will be given.
