The role of the production administrator will be responsible for ensuring the correct labels are printed according to customer specifications and company standards. This role involves managing the label room, maintaining inventory of labels, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of labels, the role requires attention to detail. Working closely with planning manager.
The duties of the Production Administrator
• Label Management: Ensure that all labels are printed accurately and correspond to the correct products. Maintain an organised inventory of labels and related materials. Ensure labels are ready for the night shift.
• Quality Control: Inspect labels for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet customer and company standards. Address any discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain label printing equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of label usage, inventory levels, and any issues encountered. Ensure all line leaders sign labels in and out of the label room. Prepare reports as required.
• Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations. Ensure the label room is kept clean and organised at all times.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as production and quality control, to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of labelled products.
• Packaging Room: Ensure the Packaging room is tidy and regular stock checks are done weekly and reported. Communicate any discrepancies to the Stock & Costings Manager.
The key skills required for the production administrator
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Worked in production environment in the past either as an operator or as an administrator
• Food industry experience would be advantages
