This role is a hybrid position This position is considered hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of either of our London or Glasgow office locations and should expect to be in office approximately 2 days per week. Responsible Design is a key component of Premium Design, where sustainability is embedded into the design process from the start. As a Product Sustainability Lead, you will investigate and support development of responsible product solutions and continually look for opportunities where we can do better. Your mission is to reduce the environmental impact of our products by maintaining progress across our key focus areas - Product Longevity, Energy Efficiency, Responsible Materials. What You’ll Do Responsibilities: Contribute to defining and supporting the Product Sustainability perspective and requirements on New Program Initiatives (NPI’s). Support cross functional collaboration within Product, Marketing, DTC and PR teams to ensure circularity principles and messaging framework are embedded in for each product throughout product development and lifecycle management. Partner with diverse teams to advance our Product Sustainability efforts at both the NPI level and beyond, ensuring sustainability requirements are integrated into products . Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timely delivery. Assist in preparing Product Sustainability content for various channels, including publicly viewed Product Environmental Reports (PER) demonstrating product level wins. Gather and share relevant information across the organization as it relates to Product Sustainability. Help identify opportunities to improve processes and tools for greater efficiency within the Product Sustainability team and wider business. Maintain sustainability documentation, guidelines, and communications. What You’ll Need Basic Qualifications: A BA or BS in Sustainability and/or Industrial and/or CMF Design OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years of related professional experience in a corporate or consulting design team environment. An understanding of product life cycle thinking, product development and greenhouse gas accounting. Strong communication skills with the ability to contribute to storytelling and presentations. Creativity: Able to problem solve and think resourcefully in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to build trust, engage with teams, and work effectively across functions. Organizational skills: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks with strong organizational discipline. Preferred Qualifications: Background in Product Sustainability. Experience in Life Cycle Assessment is a plus. Experience with consumer-facing products. Master’s degree in environmental sciences, sustainability and/or design or an equivalent combination of education and experience a plus.
